In the Bedfored guide we read chapters 5, 6 and 8. The book went over the students we will tutor and helpful hints on how to get the tutoring session started. It also explained that every person learns differently and how to incorporate a persons way of learning into the tutoring session. Another thing bedford pointed out was that there will be cultural differences between myself and the tutee. The guide also went over how to decide if a website is a credited one or if it just conveys the opinions of one person with no educational research or background information. We also set up our delicious accounts i actualy like having one of these because not only will it be helpful to myself but also anyone I help in the future. I found that the delicious account is simple to use and set up. I am still not excited about tutoring but am hopeful that it will go as well as I hope.

First real blog
So I guess Im suppose to write about my readings in bedford. The readings are very helpful when it comes to tutoring peers, however i dont think a book can help you as much as personal experience. Tutoring will not be fun for me because i truly dislike being in charge of a situation. I do hope that after I finish this course that I will become more comfortable with being somewhat in charge of a situation.
